The October 2025 update of Omega's black ceramic Speedmaster chronograph, in a 44.25mm case now about 1mm thinner than before. It replaces the calibre 9300 with the METAS-certified Master Chronometer calibre 9900 and keeps the polished ceramic dial with white-gold markers and date at 6 o'clock.

Early reactions

Very positive

3 reviews: 3 positive, 0 mixed, 0 negative. 3 of 3 recommend it.

Fewer than four counted reviews, so treat this as a first read rather than a settled view.

In early coverage, every reviewer recommends this update and rates the strap well. Most single out the rubber strap's comfort and refinement, the move to the Master Chronometer 9900, and sharper finishing. They also say the black case and dial help it wear smaller than expected, and that the independently set hour hand is useful for travel.

Where they differ. Most find it fits average wrists comfortably, but one reviewer says it can look big on small wrists and notes the automatic is thicker than the manual-wind models. That reviewer also sees the update as incremental rather than a major change.
