Seiko

Presage Classic Series

SPB46340.2mmautomatic$950 list priceAnnounced March 2024

A 40.2mm dress-leaning Presage with a domed dial textured to evoke woven Japanese silk, applied baton indices and a date at 3 o'clock. It uses Seiko's automatic 6R55 calibre with a 72-hour power reserve, a display caseback and 100m water resistance.

Creator Consensus

Creator Consensus

Very positive

4 reviews: 4 positive, 0 mixed, 0 negative. 4 of 4 recommend it.

Every reviewer praises the textured dial's play of light and rates the finishing and build highly. Most also single out the curved dial with hands bent to follow it, the cleanly finished indices and alpha hands, and the compact, comfortable proportions. Most consider the quality strong for the money, and all recommend it.

Where they differ. Reservations are isolated. One reviewer found the bracelet's pin-and-collar links fiddly and the clasp lacking micro-adjustment, another felt recent Seiko price increases temper the value, and the plain-looking movement and vague silk inspiration each drew a single criticism.
